I considered myself fortunate enough to receive a bracelet as token from my mentor when I was in Grade Six. Even though, I was so shy to express my gratitude to her that time but God knows how grateful I was.
I don’t have her photo to post it here but in my heart and mind she was the woman with dignity. And exemplary teacher, too.
After our graduation, she retired. She stayed in Cagayan de Oro City. Sad to note, I haven’t heard any news from her until now. I don’t even know if she’s still alive or not.
But for sure her gift was carefully kept by me. I’ve been keeping it for almost 16 years. And I will always keep and treasure it till the end of my life.
This is my gift for myself this year. It’s not that expensive…LOL.
