and i call her, xiang:-)

i visit my friend, xiang, in the hospital. she admitted last Friday. so late for me to know it!..why she confined in the hospital? bec, of dengue. Dengue is one of the most uninvited fever in our country today. it kills hundreds of childrens/people all over the country.

according to wikipedia:

Dengue fever (pronounced UK: /ˈdɛŋɡeɪ/, US: /ˈdɛŋɡiː/) and dengue hemorrhagic fever(DHF) are acute febrile diseases transmitted by mosquitoes, which occur in the tropics, can be life-threatening, and are caused by four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae.^[1]

In most cases of dengue fever in pregnant women, no serious harm occurs. Treatment for dengue fever includes monitoring the patient and ensuring proper hydration, as the disease promotes dehydration. Pregnant women with dengue fever should be monitored closely, preferably at a medical institution. Because of their increased sensitivity, pregnant women who contract dengue fever are often prescribed a conservative treatment plan.

While a milder case of dengue fever is generally not dangerous for pregnant women, the more severe dengue hemorrhagic fever can can kill the unborn baby. Additionally, the effects of dengue hemorrhagic fever can cause risk of bleeding in pregnant patients. Instances of transmission of the virus from the infected mother to the baby have also occurred, but are very rare.

but, for xiang case, i hope and pray that it won't cause irregularities to her baby. please, God, don't allow it.

i stare at her once in a while. figuring her looks, her body and her face. the xiang before was so thin, childish, kikay and very "maingay" but now, she is quite serious, alittle bit mature, simple and become "thicker"...lol. what i mean is her tummy. it is getting bigger and rounder and so she gained weight that made her more "malaman". she still pretty though even before...of course she is my friend. all my friends are very pretty. lucky to have them:-)...there is a saying "opposite attracts"...lol.

so silent in her room. only the sounds from the ceiling fan echoing the four corners and four sides of the room...ooppss! i could hear stomping feet ascending the stairs and scratch of the slippers walking along the alley. ghosts?...:-)

Looking Back...

Still digging my folders and saving the best memories...here i found what the ESPRIKITIK did two years ago @ Mt. Carmel Resort.

We arrived in the resort before lunch...before taking our lunch, picture taking pa rin asa kami...heheh

the only man behind the gurls is Dong...Meet katy, meraljean, Hazel, me and Syang.

we won't let ourselves not to swim on the pool. Though I don't know how to swim, gara-gara gihapon. Noticed our suit? we didn't wear two piece or one piece or something bec ..................
