One of my good friends is Mayel. She sent a message last night informing me that she gonna settle down on April 28 with her fiance, Luiji  . She also reminded me to be free on that date and be with her wedding ceremony to be held in General Luna (GL), Siargao.I am so happy for her. This is the moment she waited for...and so I am.:-)


How to get there in General Luna?

From Cebu City, it can be reached by a 45-minute flight via Philippine Airlines five days weekly; by a 12-hour overnight boat trip which departs every evening on weekdays. From the mainland there are motor launches playing the major island barangays daily or SeAir Now Flies 3 times a week to SIARGAO from Cebu.

General Luna is not new place to me. I've been there for several times. It is known as the surfing capital of the Philippines where the cloud 9 was famous. My first visit was last 2001 with my college classmates. My last visit was last October 2011. I was with my colleagues.

I always boarded RORO in going to General Luna. Spending for four hours in the boat is quite boring. All I did was sleeping.

Luckily, Del Carmen has an airport. By the way, Del Carmen is one of the municipalities of Siargao same with General Luna. But, Del Carmen is quite far from General Luna while Dapa, where the RORO docked from the mainland, is nearer to General Luna. I have to weigh in first which means of transpo I must avail this time. Is it RORO wherein I must stay for four hours inside the boat? or an airplane?
