Nowadays, Taiwanese/Korean novellas conquered Philippine television and captured Filipino viewers to the highest level. Filipinos attracted so much to the flawlessness beauty of Taiwanese/Korean plus the “tsinita’ factor. Who can’t forget Sancai of Meteor Garden, Joey of Hanakimi, and Princess Janelle of Princess Hours and so on. Even the Tai/Kor fashions were being emulated by the Filipinos. Not to mentioned the pirated DVD widely selling in the streets.
Well, I’m one of “them” who patronaged Tai/Kor novellas (even pirated dvd’s hehehe). It is not because I don’t like Philippine novellas but I need a new recipe to taste and new faces to watch.
