Christmas is nigh.
Twenty percent of the Filipinos are busy preparing for the Christmas party. Busy buying gifts and clothes to wear for the party.
Twenty five percent are busy thinking what to prepare for the noche buena.
Fifty percent are ‘wala lang’. As if Christmas is just like an ordinary holiday. Color red in the calendar.
Five percent are taking advantage on the occasion (cell phone snatcher, wallet snatcher etc.)
Surigao City has no mall so we don’t enjoy what others did during this season like the 50% sale etc. I think Surigaonons are really simple people. We are contented what we see and what we have right now. (Or wala lang talaga ibang magawa:-))
Luneta Park is the only place we can visit at night. No entrance fee. We are contented looking at the trees full of series lights. We assume the lights are the stars descending on the land. (Parang nasa outersapce). Each tree lighted by a benevolent sponsor. I think there are more than 30 trees in the park (not really sure).
Merry Christmas:-)

Its good to be contented. A walk in the park with people you love and enjoy is better than living luxuriously and unhappy.
