The mayor is the responsible person in hiring Local School Board Teachers. the number of LSBT to be hired depend on the local budget.
my co-teacher, Miss A, is one of the LSBTs in the division. she was advised verbally to transfer to the one of the mainland schools promising that the memo will follow soon. without memo stating her movement, she transferred from island school to the mainland school. her vice came, miss B. a newly hired LSBT without order/memo proved of her assignment.
after one week, the mayor disapproved the order of the newly hired LSBT bec no budget available yet for them. it means, the order of the newly hired teacher assigned in our school disapproved and so she can't teach until her order/memo will be approved by the mayor. in short, no teacher for grades 5 and 6 pupils for two weeks. i assigned my co-teacher, miss C to teach grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 pupils. what she did, she divided everything. morning session devoted for grades 3 and 4 pupils while the afternoon session alloted for the grades 5 and 6 pupils.
i felt bad. Miss B called up. she said that the memo of Miss A was disapproved also. thus, she should go back to our school. but, bec Miss A insisted that she won't go back bec of the following reasons
(whatever her reasons were!!), the division pesonnel considered her. (whatever!)..the worse was, one personnel in the division commented that since Miss A won't go back to our school, it is the responsibility of the school head to settle the problem.
how could she said that? the problem was created in their office and then she let the school head to settle the problem they created. infact, miss a's memo stated that she still assigned in our school and her movement will effect on August 2009 but whatever her reasons they considered her. ( kaka naman!)
