Carabao: Farmer's Bestfriend

Philippines is a tropical country. Majority, the livelihood of the Filipinos is farming. In the farm, a farmer needs a little helper to plow the soil. For a well-off farmer, they used cultivator a machine that helps them to plow the soil. But, for the tenant farmer, carabao is their little helper.

My niece lives in far flung area somewhere in the Sur loves to ride the carabao heading to the farm. She likes being with her parents and big sister. Though it is not safe to bring the tots to the farm but, it is better to bring them on the farm than leaving them alone in the house.

The typical Filipino lifestyle. This is the real scene of the Filipinos lives in the farm. They work hard in the farm to provide the basic needs of their family. And carabao is a huge help for them.

Have a wonderful Friday, everyone.

Classroom Christmas Party

I arrived on December 15 in my station. When the children saw me descending from the motorboat, they shouted out loud and jumped happily. They hurriedly approached me, picked all my things and carried it all headed for my house. They asked me if the party will push through. I nodded my head to answer their simple question. I know they are super excited about it. Their smiles proved how excited they were.

December 16, the date the children waited for. Early morn, they knocked the door of my house and got their gifts. They immediately took a bath in the well while I was busy preparing food for the party. (Of course, I'm not a good cook, I asked someone to do it for me. Special thanks to Dumandan Family).

The party started at 10:00 AM. They presented dances, songs and poems. They wore sexy and beautiful dresses. They were all beautiful and handsome that day. I worried that the chocolates I bought may not be enough for them. Fortunately, they were satisfied of what they received. Truly, Christmas is for the children.

God bless:-)
