@PiaWurtzbach Winning Moment @MissUniverse #MissUniverse2015

“To be a Miss Universe is both an honor and a responsibility. If I were to be Miss Universe, I will use my voice to influence the youth and I will raise awareness to certain causes like HIV awareness that is timely and relevant to my country, which is the Philippines. I want to show the world, the universe, rather, that I am confidently beautiful with a heart.”
---Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach

Congratulations Pia!

Peaceful #Sky

Every day is a new beginning and we can start from the point we are at that moment. Our past will not hinder us from moving forward and our future will not scare us to take the next step when we start living in the now. When we let go of sweating the small stuff and take steps to convert each day to a masterpiece we will have a day well spent to reflect with happiness.

Another #Beach-y Day

I took these beachy photos yesterday. It was raining at noon but at late afternoon the sky showed its beauty.

I still love things that you don't even need to pay for. Going to the beach and being around five of your friends and having a good time means so much more than going out and spending hundreds of dollars. ---Maria Sharapova

A simple life is good with me. I don't need a whole lot. For me, a T-shirt, a pair of shorts, barefoot on a beach and I'm happy. ---Yanni

The beach is definitely where I feel most at home. It's my oxygen. I forget how much I need it sometimes when I'm away working. ---Behati Prinsloo

The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain, the sound of wind in a primeval wood, and the sound of outer ocean on a beach. ---

Twin #Falls

Visiting Maria Cristina Falls

Maria Cristina Falls is a waterfall of the Agus River on the island of Mindanao.

It is sometimes called the "twin falls" as the flow is separated by a rock at the brink of the waterfall.

It is a landmark of Iligan City, nicknamed the City of Majestic Waterfalls, because of the presence of more than 20 waterfalls in the city.

It is located 9.3 kilometers away southwest of the city proper at the boundaries of Barangays Maria Cristina, Ditucalan, and Buru-un.

Well known for its natural beauty and grandeur, the 320 - feet (98 meters) high waterfall is also the primary source of electric power for the city's industries, being harnessed by the Agus VI Hydroelectric Plant.

Maria Cristina Falls powers the Agus VI Hydroelectric Plant, one of the several hydroelectric plants that harness Agus River. The power plant has a 200 MW potential capacity supplied by a water flow of about 130 cubic meters per second. (source: wikipedia.com)

Have a great day, everyone!

Barangay Mangagoy and Ponso

It is rare opportunity to visit Brgy. Mangagoy. If not of my friend, Venessa, I may not be able to land on Mangagoy and no chance to meet Ponso. By the way, Barangay Mangagoy is located in Bislig, Surigao del Sur. It is dubbed as "little city within the city".

This where we sleep for a night
around Mangagoy
early morning view

We arrived at almost 6PM in Mangagoy from Hinatuan. It was dinner time. Some were hungry especially the kids. I and Marilyn hurriedly went to the market to buy something to eat for our dinner and breakfast. We still have to visit Tinuy-an Falls and International Doll House the next day.

An here's another good thing I met in Mangagoy. I was able to play with him. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Ponso, my new friend. :-)

so adorable

I like Ponso very much. He is cute and adorable.

Capalayan Falls

For the first time, I visited the Capalayan Falls. Unlike Katibawasan Falls and Tinuy-an Falls, Capalayan Falls is not so popular. It is located in Surigao City.

Capalayan Falls is still in the process of improvement. From the city proper, you can ride a habal-habal, motorcycle or private vehicle in going to Barangay Capalayan. See and ask permission first from the Barangay Official. They will send a tour guide for you not to be lost in going to the waterfall. From the main road, you need to walk and follow the pathway/walkway going to the waterfall. To avoid rashes, make sure you wear leggings/long pants or anything comfortable outfit just to keep your legs away from scratching.

See? How grassy the walkway is.

She is not playing patintero. :-)

 Waving the camera.:-)

 Tired. Resting for a while

 Trekking...

 upper part of the waterfall

Jose exerted an effort to climb the waterfall.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Capalayan Falls.

There is no admission fee. Entering/visiting Capalayan Falls is free.

Katibawasan Falls

Katibawasan Falls is located in the Island of Camiguin dubbed as the Island Born of Fire. It is one of the main attractions in Camiguin. When you visit Camiguin, never fail to add in your list Katibawasn Falls.

It is my second time to visit the waterfall. I am still amaze of its beauty. It is one of a kind. It is mysterious.

Heading to Katibawasan falls is not easy for us. Last time, 3 years ago, I didn't find difficulty ascending to the falls as what I've experienced today. It is because the cab we rented can't ascend the road going to the falls. We needed to walk and run and walk and run just to reach the falls.

After too much effort/energy/sweats exerted, we finally landed the falls.

How can you say NO with this beauty.

Meet the local tourists who walked and ran just to see and "taste" the falls :-)

I love this view
 and this too.

Katibawasan Falls is not hard to visit. It is just our cab didn't work well that day. For those adventurous people, you will surely love Katibawasan Falls.

Entrance Fee:
Php30.00 - adult
Php5.00 - children

"Till Death Do Us Part"....

According to Wikipedia, Marriage (also called matrimony or wedlock) is a social union or legal contract between people called spouses that establishes rights and obligations between the spouses, between the spouses and their children, and between the spouses and their in-laws.

April 2, 2013

The most anticipated day of Loloy and Marilyn. They called it, Loy-Lyn Day. Why? It is because it was their Wedding Day.

Congratulations!
