Naked Island, Siargao, Philippines

This video created four years ago. I decided to post it here because I wanted to share with you. Well, nobody watched it in Youtube haha

Naked Island is one of the three locations of classic Island Hopping offered on Siargao beside Daku Island and Guyam Island. It is called Naked Island because you can't see trees, people and rocks. It is a tiny island.

Have you been to Siargao Island? If not, please visit soon.

#Blue Wedding

The real act of marriage takes place in the heart, not in the ballroom or church or synagogue. It's a choice you make - not just on your wedding day, but over and over again - and that choice is reflected in the way you treat your husband or wife.

Revisiting Magpupungko

I was in Pilar, Siargao Island last May 2009 with college friends. That time, Pilar was not yet given a priority by the local government. Last April 30, 2012, I revisited the said place. There was a little difference on the setting of place the first time I visited it than today.

The main tourists attraction in Pilar is the so-called Magpupungko. It is called Magpupungko because of the big rock squatting another rock. Confusing? Take a look at this photo.

I was with Rose and Neophe. Rose and Neophe live near Pilar. We rode motorcycle heading to Pilar. We used the motorcycle of Rose, but, Neophe was the driver. And me was the back rider. I guess we spent more than 30 minutes on the road before we reach Magpupungko. Not all roads are concrete. Mostly are rough roads so better bring hat/cap or anything that can cover your face  to avoid eating all the dust heading Pilar.

Unfortunately, I have not witnessed the real meaning of magpupungko. It is because everytime I visit the place, it is not low tide. Magpupungko is best place to visit if it is low tide.

Island Hopping

Philippines is consists of 7107 islands. Each island has its own best delicacies and best services offered to the tourists- local or foreign. Each island is definitely beautiful, wonderful and magical.

One of the best things you can experience while having wonderful time in Philippines is island hopping. So, where is the best place to do island hopping? The best answer is, Siaragao! Specifically in the Islets of Daku, Naked and Guyam.

Siargao is known for its white sand, clear crystal water and gigantic cloud nine. Once you’ve visited the Island of Siargao, you will surely fall in love with it.

I will be in General Luna, Siargao on April 28, 2012. Yay! So excited about it. I am with Verna and Rose on that day. We will surf the land and sea of GL J. This is gonna be a fantastic vacay for us for sure.:-)

I heard that last Holy Week, famous actress, Anne Curtis with her BF had a great time in GL. They did island hopping, surfing and swimming and a lot more!

GL for the first time?

GL stands for General Luna. It is located in Siargao, Surigao del Norte. It is one of the municipalities of Siargao. It is known as the Surfing Capital of Philippines.

If you haven't visited GL, you must visit it now. GL will show its best on September 22, 2011. The so called International Surfing Competition will be held. For sure, tourists coming in from different places- foreign or local tourists- will grow in number. I am so excited to witness the said competition but i don't think our superior will allow me to file a leave on that day.

Actually, it is not my first time to visit GL. But, it is my first to visit GL without my ESPRIKITIK friends.
(I terribly missed them.)  I was with my colleagues. It is my First time to be out of town with them. It was an another great adventure, i supposed.

Visiting Siargao, specifically, GL makes me always excited. I just love Siargao. I just love GL. I love its sand, sun and sea. It is very enticing and inviting. I can't resist the charm of its sea, sun and sand.

I hope, I can visit GL again this year:-)
