TIP
To update my blog, i browsed again my folders.
i saw these pics, TIP seminar held @ SPUS last October 27-31, 2008. TIP means Teacher Induction Program. I posted some events happened during my TIP seminar here. but, i wasn't able to post pics. TIP is conducted for the newly hired teachers to be aware of the pros and cons in teaching- strategies, code of ethics, legal advices and others...
Below are some of the irrelevant :-) pics:
veta
with co-participants...
surigao city division participants with the facilitators and hosts of the TIP seminar
i have no intention to show how messy the table was...LOL...we were just so excited...(tagaw)
hey, pasingit naman!
spending five days with TIP were truly significant and fulfilling days. though one commented from the other division that "we" take the seminar for granted. she never knew how deeply we appreciated and grasped the speakers' lessons. lesson learnt: don't judge the book by its cover. esp. if you are not the judge..lol

Looking Back...
Still digging my folders and saving the best memories...here i found what the ESPRIKITIK did two years ago @ Mt. Carmel Resort.
Meet Katy. Background: Mt. Carmel Resort
While waiting for others to come, taking pictures overflowed. Is the place looks familiar? Guess where?

Mahalaga Ba Ang Bulate?

I got this passage from Phil-IRI Grade 6. I post it here because it caught my interest.
The passage goes...
Ganito sila kahalaga.
Is it a Good or Bad News?
It is still February but last Monday someone texted me that I, with my two colleagues, will attend seminar on May 4 to 8 somewhere along in the city. Oh no, I can't help myself thinking about it. I know what it is like attending a seminar. What can I do? I am only a subordinate, I must follow what memo being given to me. Summer is not vacation at all i guess...It's gonna be a tiring and boring(?) days for me. Imagine the graduation will fall on April 1. After that, I still have to report in the office for some paper works to be accomplished and so on and so forth...And on the first week of May will be the dated seminar :-(...I can't hide or whatever because the said seminar is funded by the national government. We allocated fifty six thousand pesos. All expenses will be paid by the government.
Why I (we) must attend the seminar? it is because SES ranked the low performing school. It is our big responsibility why SES got low in NAT. That is why we have to undergo seminars and etc etc etc. Poor me!

Stormy Weather
"Let your heart be not in trouble." This Biblical line served as my guide everytime I cross the sea especially if it's rainy day and habagat season.
It was a bad weather but I forced myself to go home. I needed to go home.
Thanks God, I arrived safe.

This pic taken during my trip going home from my station. I thought I will encounter huge waves but in God's mercy, the sea was very calm.
Though the clouds is ready to downpour.
Thanks God, I arrived safe.
The Wedding
They are not the real couple. They are the main casts in a Korean drama, The Wedding, one of my fave drama shows. The story is about:
Lee Se-na is the only daughter from a wealthy background. Because of her pampered upbringing, she believes that she can get anything she wants if she sets her heart to it. She meets Han Seung-Woo, a self-made diplomat, who is not-so-secretly in love with his childhood friend Yoon-su, currently in Japan with her fiancee, Seung-Woo’s colleague Jin-Hui. Se-na instantly falls inHui. love with Seung-Woo, who asks her what she thinks the meaning of marriage is. In their subsequent marriage, their values are questioned as Se-na’s complete trust in Seung-Woo shatters with the realization of Yoon-su’s and Seung-Woo’s relationship, and Seung-Woo’s happiness in marriage shatters with Se-na’s deepening mistrust and her own relationship with Jin-Hui.
Jang Nara and Ryu Shi Won. (Hmmm, Ryu is my new found man:-)

A novice teacher like me needs guidance, motivation and determination to become effective and competent teacher. To achieve the so called needs, I must structure and improve my classroom. With this, Venessa and I, visited one school in the city, accredited by APES so that I may able know and apply what will I be learned from their school to my classroom.(Benchmarking).
This is Sheryl's homeroom. I used the term home than class because her room is more than a classroom . As you entered on her room, you will feel you are at home. It's comfortable, well-ventilated and conducive for learning.
The left side of her room. The Im's hanging on the windows are about colors and basic sight words.

Sigh!
If only waves can take away my nondescript feelings,I'll let myself drowning into the deepest part of the sea.
I'll soak myself in the rain until no more drops of rain will fall.
RAT
Unfortunately, SES chose as one of the sample schools to be tested by the so called- Regional Achievement Test (RAT) on February 10.
I woke up very early at 4 A.M. I lit a lamp ( I'm scared of "not like ours"). 4 A.M. is not my usual time to wake up but because of this RAT, I had to. I kept yawning...but I had to be awake, alive and enthusiastic as possible because it's gonna be a busy and tiring day for the three of us ( I have 2 colleagues).
It was a cloudy day. The sun shone shyly. The ground was wet due to the-never-ended rain. It is always raining here in the city. Flood and mud are my best buddies these days.
At 6:30, the Principal texted me, "We are heading for SES. Prepare breakfast. We have a visitor from Butuan City." Me: "Ok, Sir". Not really ok, I was not eating my breakfast yet I have to prepare breakfast for the visitors. Wattahh! I ate my food as fast as I could. I informed my two colleagues about the message I received. They worried or should I say, tensed. They kept me asking what to do. Lah!...me too couldn't think what to prepare though we prepared food but it intended for the lunch not for the breakfast. Principal: "We are about to reach SES." I sigh. So, this is it! This is really is it! I was so nervous. I kept telling my angels to be good and polite.
At 7:30, the visitor's motorboat anchored at the pier. They are four males. Three are young principals including our principal and one from Butuan, an English Supervisor. After eating their breakfast, they immediately conducted the test. The test covered all the major subjects- English, Science, Mathematics, Filipino and Makabayan. Luckily, my angels were excluded in the test. Good for me huh! Minus stress for my part. It took 4 hours for the Grade 3 pupils to finish the test and 5 hours for the grade six pupils to finish the test. I heard one pupil murmured because the test was so difficult. No wonder. The MPS of the test they took was in the unmastered level. The principal urged us to double our time to review and review for the next test to be conducted this March, which is the NAT.
SES is one of the low performing schools in the division . YES, we are. Not a good year for threel of us..tsktsktsktsk

Just Wait

My mind can't focus well on my work. It occupied with portrayal of transferring to other location/work. I'm not happy where I am working now. I think it's time for me to "evaporate" and be in a place where I can be happy...happier...happiest. I hope God will allow it. Everything depends on Him. If it is not His will and plan for me, I can't do anything.
Mama

Last February 7 was your exact birthday but inevitable hurdles come along my ways. Sorry for the late posting and greeting Mama.
All I want is to say "thank you" for taking care and loving me unconditionally...helping me in all my endeavors to be realized. For always be my fan and ever supportive Mama. You know, I made mistakes most of the time but you never tried to argue with me, but instead you let me realized that I did wrongs. The funny thing is, you supported my wrong deeds, sabay sabi " Ajaw kaguol (Don't worry). Kalimte na iton (Forget it). "
In behalf of our wonderful family, I wanna greet you a HAPPY HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY, MAMA!. You may live longer.
I love you, Mama.
All I want is...

I don't know how it started
Never imagined it will happen
Never thought you are the one.
It was a simple admiration
Or was simply an addiction
But never an illusion!
I really enjoyed the sensation it bring
It adds meaning to my whole being
It's something I want to keep remembering.
But, time keeps me apart from you
Even distance tells me that I can't be with you
If only time and distance give me some time
All I want is...to be ALONE with you.
My Heart is longing for...

It's been my six years in this "Untamed Place by You". Never thought I could stay long in this boring yet others proclaimed it- "paradise" place. It took three years for me to adjust because everything is new. New place...new people with no acquaintances, friends and relatives. Though I have few friends now. It was so hard for me to accept that I assigned in this kind of place. No electricity during the day. I couldn't do my daily routines. One of this is, watching shows on TV specifically the animated/cartoons shows.
Now my heart is longing for a...TRANSFER.
I've been applying for it but Mrs. Supervisor won't allow me. She said, "Not now." But, when? If only she knew how eagerly I want to be back home. She can't even give me a good reasons why she can't. As much as possible, I always obey her rules and decisions. Sometimes, I feel that I'm not that good at all. That is why she wants to keep me in
that place. (Hopefully not forever!). Or maybe she trusted me so much that I am the only person she can trust and easily appoint to do work without murmuring (am I, Ma'am? ka-feeling sab!). Or maybe she don't really care at all. Well, these are only my assumptions, presumptions and opinions whatever you may call it!
One thing popping in my heart and mind nowadays is-----------I want to go home. Please let me go.:-(

An Amo Bayay ( Our House)

Ang bayay gamay man o dako,
Dili amo jaon an sukdanan namo.
Kay an importante sa tanan,
Malipayon an amo pinuy- anan.
An amo mga ginikanan,
Na sa bayay namo pirmi kaiban,
Kanamong mga anak sila nag-amoma,
Kini tungod sa kadako sa ila gugma.
Busa angayan nato hinoktokan,
Ang kabililhon nan ato pinuy-anan,
Kon ana-a ang disiplina ug respeto sa matag-usa,
Kalinaw an maangkon sa panimayay ta.
The Absolutely Unique Gals
AUG consists of nine gals with unique personalities, abilities, talents and ambitions. We investigated for a month and solicited ideas from group mates what will be the best name for our group..LOL. If you're not belong to any group, you are not IN.
We decided to name our group AUG (Absolutely Unique Gals). The one and only reason we agreed was: Our group bonded on the month of August. We got the abbreviation of August which is Aug then we gave its acronym. No by laws created, no rules implemented and no objectives to be attained. We only committed to be faithful with our own goal- which is to finish studies.
AUG was my best buddy when I was in high school.
Fellas, meet the Absolutely Unique Gals:
1. She is Marry-Ann. A Mathematician. She is about to give birth this month. She lives in Laguna.
2. She is Meraljean. She is also part of the Esprikitik group. Very kind and approachable gal.

3. The pianist, Cheryl May. She is the doll in our group. She is very humble. She lives in Bukidnon.
Not in the pictures: Janet, Susan, Carmela and Marjorey.
